How To Start Seeds {Flavia’s Gardening Corner}

When we talk about gardening and then people look outside and then back at us and say something like, “Yeah, you mean in the Spring right? It’s raining, it’s so cold, is now really the time?” Well, actually yes, but not yet in your garden space. Now IS a good time to start some seeds indoors - a really meditative activity actually, and so fun for kids, too, because they get to monitor and take care of their little sprouts as they grow, getting them excited for when it’s time to transplant them!

Late January and February are a great time of year to get started on planting your summer crops from seed. This tutorial shows you my process of starting seeds indoors, I start with sweet and picnic peppers, shishitos, eggplant and all of my tomato seeds. Next batch will be some cut flower seeds. Happy planting!
